@rocky038 yes you could run down to your local wendy’s and get a baked potato but using that logic you could also run down to your local mcdonald’s and get a burger. i think the point here is to get a better product. and it’s potato not potatoe.
WTF!!! you just jabbed the tin foil down into the potato that you want to eventually eat. it’s not necessary to jab the potato like that. i’ve been making baked potatoes for almost 40 years now and you can trust me when i say that you don’t need to do that. just wash of the potato in cold water to clean it and then wrap in tin foil while its wet. bake at about 400 degrees for 1.5 to 2 hours (depending on its size) and you will have a perfect baked potato. minus the aluminun in the potato.
Why does this guy call himself a Chef? Retard Village.
@ebacherk I’m sorry I don’t have a collegiate study linking crock pot use to global warming, but my original statement was meant as an exclamation to the fact that he’s wasting a shit load of energy and time to cook a baked potato for 10 hours in a crock pot. You can do the same thing in a microwave in like 5 minutes! I’ve stopped giving scientific information to back up my arguments b/c honestly most Republicans aren’t smart enough to understand it.
Why expose your naturally produced food to any such device which use radiation to cook and nutrionally alter your food while exposing yourself to to emitted radiation as well?
brettkling what is your scientifically, objectively verifiable information to support this highly questionable claim of yours?
rocky038 and everyone else, a friendly helpful tip, for the one week’s total of money that you would spend on going to any restaurant for a baked potato, you could easily purchase a bag of potatoes and prepare them, as noted in this video, over night for example or while you’re working or such, and get alot more for your money, your health and for the environment (from less gas spent on trips, no wasted knapkins or plastic items to tossed in trash cans, land fills or out of the car window.)
All the children below have nothing better to do but bad mouth someone. Losers & Bullies…girly girls. Get a life…I think your mommy is looking for ya’ll. Learn to cook!
8-10 hours ,WTF I just run to my Wendy’s down the street and pick up a baked potatoe with sour cream and chives for $1.29 go figure
WTF! We know how to put holes in stuff!
By cooking a damn potato for 8-10 hours you’ve wasted enough energy to kill a baby seal with global warming.
baked potato in the microwave taste like shit
expert village sucks im sorry!
lol, to koolbossjock, your absolutely right they pretty much just get no knowledge people actors and tell them what to do…
i have the same exact Crock Pot…
8 to 10 fucking hours? or 5 minutes in the nuke??? Hmmmm…..
More like Retard Village.Where do they get these no knowledge people. What a JOKE.
Is this man a retard?
hey Ben try to bake them into oven, without foil.
Cheers
Yeah no shit – just put the damn things in the frigging microwave and your done! Cut them open put some salt, butter and have your steak off the grill and wash it all down with a cool one.
he said come back after 8 – 10 hours…
i laughed as soon as he said 8 to 10 hours
This is NOT a “baked” potato, it is a
steamed potato. Baked potatoes should
be put into a hot oven with NO foil and
no butter or oil on them…just coarse salt
covering them.
It would’ve been helpful. But is there water in there?? What do you set it on??? How long is it supposed to be in there? Anyone know???
Cool idea however I would recommend poking your potatoes BEFORE wrapping them in foil as there will be bits of foil that end up inside your potato… chomping down on aluminum isn’t always fun
so cosher salt , but canned corn? I perfer frozen and dont understand anyone who argues with that.
So having meat in everything IS interesting?
Huh, no ground meat of any kind???Uninteresting.
if it dosen’t come out i’m blamming u dawg
cheers mate!
Kosher is a little bigger grain wise than regular table salt. It’s pretty much like table salt but with no Iodide in it.. or any other additive with it. I like putting Kosher salt on home made fries.
what is koshar salt?
im on cam and bored
lovin this video!! leave me a comment rl
Zeviel: A crock-pot is also called a SLOW COOKER. It is meant to cook slow so that you can assemble your dish, turn on the cooker and let it cook slow while you are sleeping or at work so that the food is done when you get home or wake up. Also cooking slow is a great way to cook foods such as pot roast. Try cooking that in 20 minutes.
wow…thanks for this recipe. i’d get myself a slow-cook crockpot. it’s nice to prepare dinner early and spend the rest of the day watching more cooking videos. hehehe….
6-7 hours? i’d have to start cookin dinner at 11am lol me thinks i will use cooked rice and just stick it in the oven =P i have no idea what that pot is..
Just like the ol’ lady in the wendy’s commercial: WHERE’S THE BEEF???
hmm, nevermind you seem to answer it at the end with “until the rice is cooked”.
sorry for my jump-to-conclusion post above.
is the rice cooked or dry when you added it ???
